| T D Shipley III vs West Chiltington Res | |||||
|
Nick Ryan had a bitter sweet day as West Chiltington reserves fought out a useful 1-1 draw at T.D.Shipley in Division Four North. The visitors started well and they took the lead after 15 minutes when Ryan jumped clear of the defensive pack to head home a free kick and give Chilt the lead their early play desereved. The day then got much worse for Ryan as he suffered a suspected broken arm after a bad fall. This proved to be the turning point as Chilt lost their attacking focus and the hosts equalised right on half time following a poorly defended corner. The second half lacked the incident of the first period and Chilt defended stoutly to hold on for a valuable away point with keeper Callum Tomsett in commanding form. Chilt manager Brian Holden spoke for the whole side after the game when he wished Nick Ryan a speedy recovery from his injury. |
