HANDEL'S MESSIAH - BOSTON STUMP (ST. BOTOLPH'S)

In 1807 a performance of the Messiah was given in St. Botolph’s Church, The Stump, at a festival of music. This is commemorated in a window in the St. Peter and St. Paul chapel on the north side of the aisle(see photo on home page).
Boston Choral Society performed the Messiah as the final act in the Boston Music Festival week and in commemoration of the performance of the Messiah 200 years earlier.
